Mascot Network Inc. (www.mascot.com), the leading provider of campus intranet communities, today announced it has named Carl Rosendorf to its board of directors. The appointment of Mr. Rosendorf further strengthens Mascot Network's expertise in Web and higher education market.
Mr. Rosendorf is the senior vice president for Barnes & Noble.com, where he is responsible for marketing, sales and business development.
Mr. Rosendorf had over 21 years of experience in the college bookstore marketplace. Most recently he was executive vice president for Barnes & Noble College bookstores, managing the buying, merchandising, and store design for the company's 350 campus bookstores. Previously Mr. Rosendorf was president of Follett/United college bookstores, a chain of 110 campus stores. During his career in the college bookstore market, Rosendorf was responsible for relationships with more than 450 college and university administrations, serving more than 3 million students nationwide.
Mr. Rosendorf also brings extensive Internet knowledge to the Mascot Network board. He has managed Web-based businesses for more than five years and was the president of the Cybersmith Cafe chain. In 1998 Adweek named him one of its "digital masters" for his distinguished marketing in the Internet space.
